This school tries, but fails most of the time. The deans are very unhelpful and some teachers don't care about the students. The lunches are overpriced and even though the school gets millions of dollars every year from federal aid for military children that go here, there isn't much to show for the money that is given. Along with the Nebraska legislature's laws and the overlord faculty, if you've been at Bellevue East long enough it gives off a prison society like vibe. 2.5/5 Source: Junior at Bellevue East

  • I have worked at East for a number of years and believe that we educators care deeply about our students and are here to help guide them into adulthood with the skill sets to lead them successfully. We offer many AP and dual enrollment courses that allow students to start their post-graduation studies with credits to their name.

  • I am responding to the bozo that posted that This High School is "DUMPSTER SCHOOL". I would like to inform you that it was ranked 5 TH in the nation when I graduated there, in 1963 ! Standards were extremely high and we had a class of over achievers that went on to be very successful. We were also the first class to graduate at this high school and will be celebrating our 50 TH reunion. We have a number of Lawyers, Doctors, Authors Corporate CEO's and even a United States Senator that ran for president 4 years ago after leaving the Secretary of Defense post. Finally I would like to say that if the school has slipped in status it might well be the result of community apathy and that those people that have kids going to school there need to get off the couch, put the game controller down clean up and go volunteer to help. These kids already have a lot on their plate without a label . They will just simply live up to it. Thomas Dade Class of 1963
